A drop-in class is the perfect opportunity to figure out if blues dancing is right for you. Every Wednesday at8pm , we offer a drop-in class for new dancers. Just show up and join us! You will learn some basic footwork and a few new moves to bust out on the social floor.
Stick around for the social dance to try out your new moves. If you admire someone's dancing, ask them to dance! We all started out as beginners too, and everyone can learn a lot from dancing with people of all levels.
The classes cover new material each week. Show up for several weeks in a row, and you're guaranteed to learn something new every class! Cost The drop-in class is included in the sliding scale admission fee.
What to wear? We recommend casual, comfortable clothing and flat shoes with a slippery, non-rubber sole. Dancing can be a physically demanding activity, so we suggest you observe good hygiene. This is a social dance and a great place to make new friends.
Want to learn more? We are currently offering a monthly intermediate class on the second Wednesday of each month. The topics and teachers change each month, so be sure to keep an eye out for topics that excite you! Anyone is welcome to attend these intermediate classes after they have taken one beginner lesson.
